Slow-Cooker Pork Carnitas

Carnitas are pulled and cooked pork meat, it can be used to prepare tacos, burritos, quzadillas and to eat with rice and vegetables.

It is a very easy recipe and can be made for dinner combined with various dishes. It is a recipe for juicy and tender pork.

In this case we will make the recipe in a slow cooker, but it can be done in the oven, the result will always be the same.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 lb pork tenderloin or leg, skinless, boneless
  • 1 tablespoon of cumin
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons MAGGI® granulated chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large, yellow onion
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup of water

METHOD

1-Wash and dry the pork loin, then rub with the cumin, oregano, chle powder, salt, pepper and the spices that you like the most.

2-Place the pork in the slow pressure cooker and cover with minced garlic, onion, lemon juice and water.

3-Cook in a high pressure cooker for 90 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally.

4-The pork must be tender enough to be shredded. Remove and place on a tray with its juices, then allow to cool. With the help of forks, fray the meat and distribute it in a layer evenly. Then drizzle the meat with a cup of the juice you reserved.

Roast the meat in the oven for three minutes, flip and grill three more minutes.
